Amani Eco Park — also known as Amani Resort EcoPark — is a recently opened eco-resort on the Route de Matadi, in the Mitendi neighbourhood, commune of Mont-Ngafula. The site presents itself as one of Kinshasa's first eco-resort concepts: a nature park combining relaxation, a mini-safari, dining and on-site accommodation. About 25 km from the city centre, it is one of the most accessible nature outings from Gombe without leaving the province of Kinshasa.
What you'll find
The site charges a $10 park entrance per person, which gives access to the nature area and shared facilities. A mini-safari (animal park) is charged separately at $7 per person. A children's playground, on-site dining and bungalow accommodation round out the offer. Other activities are available on request — pricing is to be confirmed on site or via the venue's social media.
The team positions the site as an "eco-resort at the heart of nature": nature, relaxation, safari, accommodation. The concept is still in its launch phase — the site opened on a soft opening basis over 2025–2026 — and certain operational details (precise opening hours, full activity catalogue, detailed pricing) may change.
Who it suits
Well suited to families with children (mini-safari, playground), groups of friends for a day in nature, and couples for a quiet weekend with on-site accommodation. The eco-resort format sets it apart from other parks in Mont-Ngafula: here you can stay overnight, which is not the case at Mbudi Nature or Africa Park Aventure.
When to go
The park is open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Precise opening hours should be confirmed directly with the site before visiting. The dry season (May to October) remains the best period. As the site has only recently opened, a quick call to +243 967 948 7964 or +243 985 209 4327 allows you to confirm availability, especially for weekends and accommodation bookings.
Budget for a day
Return transport with Kino Congo: $125 for a car of up to 6 people, roughly $21 per person in a group. Park entrance: $10 per person. Mini-safari: $7 per person. Estimated minimum budget per person (group of 6, full day with nature and safari): $38 to $45.
Mont-Ngafula: an accessible nature cluster
Lola ya Bonobo in Kimwenza — bonobo sanctuary, visit slots at 10h, 11h30, 13h, 14h30. Mbudi Nature in Lutendele — panoramic view over the Congo River rapids. Africa Park Aventure in Kimwenza — zip-line, kayak, climbing. Amani Eco Park completes the cluster on the eco-resort side with overnight accommodation.
Kino Congo's advice
As the site is recent, opening hours and prices may change without notice. Before visiting, check information directly on Instagram @amaniecopark or the Amani Resort Facebook page. For a weekend with an overnight stay, book in advance — accommodation capacity is limited.
