Symphonie des Arts is an art gallery and tropical garden in Kinshasa, founded by Christa Göpfert over 40 years ago. It is located at 15, Avenue de l'Avenir, Concession Chanic, in the commune of Ngaliema.
The gallery is dedicated to Congolese artists and exhibits paintings, sculptures in ceramic, bronze and wood. It helped launch the careers of artists who have since gained international recognition, including Botembe, Nshole and Kalama.
The tropical garden surrounding the gallery is home to peacocks, tropical plants, fountains and artistic installations. Together they create a remarkable setting in the city — part artistic incubator, part haven of calm in the heart of Kinshasa.
The permanent exhibition is accessible by appointment. It is an essential address for lovers of contemporary African art.
