Air Congo is the newest airline serving Kinshasa internationally, and the first in a long time to fly the Congolese flag on long-haul routes. Launched in late 2024, it opened its first two European destinations in 2026: Brussels, then Paris.

Air Congo, a separate airline from Congo Airways

Air Congo should not be confused with Congo Airways, the long-established carrier that operates domestic flights within the DRC. Air Congo is a different entity, 49% owned by Ethiopian Airlines, which supplies its aircraft (Boeing 787-8) and operational support under a wet-lease agreement. Air Congo markets the flights under its own brand.

The Air Congo connection to Brussels and Paris

Air Congo launched its Kinshasa-Brussels route on July 1, 2026, with 4 flights a week. Since August 18, 2026, a 5th weekly flight has extended the route to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, in a triangular Kinshasa-Brussels-Paris-Kinshasa routing. A Dubai route has been announced but not yet launched. As a very recently launched connection, exact days and times shift quickly: confirm directly with the airline when booking.

Booking an Air Congo ticket

Booking is done through the official Air Congo website or an approved travel agency. As a newly launched route, seat availability and fares can vary more than on established lines: check several dates before locking in a trip.

Arriving at N'Djili with Air Congo

As with any international flight into N'Djili, passport control can take time, and the hall exit opens onto a crowd of unofficial touts. An airport assistance service with a dedicated agent takes charge of the passenger right off the plane. The complete N'Djili guide covers every arrival and departure formality.
