Seli Safari Resort is located about 135 km from Kinshasa in the territory of Kasangulu, Kongo Central province, on the banks of the Inkisi River. The main attraction is the Zongo waterfall — a 67-metre cascade and one of the most impressive natural sights in the region.
Accommodation and activities
The resort offers several types of accommodation: equipped tents for an immersive nature experience, bungalows for couples and small families, intimate chalets, and luxury villas with a kitchen, living room and river views. Activities include waterfall viewing, forest hikes, swimming in designated safe areas, barbecues and campfires by the river. The restaurant serves local and international cuisine.
How to get there from Kinshasa
Allow 4 to 6 hours from central Kinshasa depending on traffic, via the Route Nationale. Booking ahead is recommended, especially at weekends and during school holidays. A car with driver is the best option for a journey this long — there are many stops along the way and driving at night is not advised.
Combine with Kisantu
Zongo is about thirty kilometres from Kisantu, making it an ideal combination for a weekend. The Kisantu Botanical Garden (225 ha, 3,000 species) and Mbuela Lodge (zip line, quad bikes, gastronomy) are in the same area. Plan two nights to visit all three sites without rushing.
